Seoul Silver Grass Festival서울억새축제

The 25th Seoul Silver Grass Festival runs Oct 17–23, 2026 at Haneul Park in World Cup Park, Mapo-gu, open 10:00–21:00 every day. Its theme is ‘Silver grass, comfort from nature’ (억새, 자연이 건네는 위로).

Haneul Park sits on top of the former Nanjido landfill, about 98 m above sea level, and was turned into a park for the 2002 World Cup. Much of its hilltop is covered in silver grass, which is at its best in autumn.

It’s on right now, for one week only (until Oct 23), and it stays open until 9 pm, so you can catch the grass at sunset. Haneul Park searches rose 60% in September from a year earlier.

Take Line 6 to World Cup Stadium Station or Mapo-gu Office Station; Seoul city says it’s about a 40-minute walk from either to the festival area. You can also ride the electric shuttle from the Nanji Stream Park (난지천공원) parking lot.
