What it's about
One summer, a strange infection breaks out at Hyosan High School and spreads fast through classrooms and into the city. With no adults coming to help, a handful of classmates survive with their wits, their phones and whatever they can find in the school.
It's based on Joo Dong-geun's webtoon Now at Our School. Chun Sung-il wrote it, and Lee Jae-kyoo and Kim Nam-su directed.
Why people love it
In its second week, January 31 to February 6, 2022, it was No. 1 on Netflix's global Top 10 for non-English TV with about 236 million hours viewed, far ahead of No. 2.
Fans like that it feels like real school life under pressure: friendships, crushes and class rivalries don't stop just because the zombies arrive.
