Where to buy K-beauty in the US: 4 stores compared

If you want U.S. shipping and a 30-day return window, start with Olive Young US or a listing on Amazon that is sold by the brand or by Amazon. If you want the version of a product sold in Korea, especially a sunscreen, look at YesStyle or Stylevana. Both ship from Hong Kong, so orders take longer and returns are stricter.

One thing has changed: Olive Young Global, the site many older guides point to, now says on its own shipping list that it does not ship to the U.S. (50 states and D.C.).

Olive Young runs separate online stores. Olive Young Global (global.oliveyoung.com) ships to a long list of countries and even some U.S. territories such as Guam and Puerto Rico, but not to the 50 states or D.C. U.S. shoppers use Olive Young US (us.oliveyoung.com) instead.

As of October 2026, Olive Young US ships only within the U.S. Orders leave within 1 to 2 business days and then take up to 5 business days to the contiguous 48 states, or up to 9 to Alaska and Hawaii. Aerosols, alcohol-based products and nail polish travel by ground and can only go to the contiguous 48 states. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, unopened for change-of-mind returns, and the store doesn't offer exchanges. Items bought online can't be returned at Olive Young's U.S. store.

YesStyle and Stylevana both process and ship every order from warehouses in Hong Kong. That makes them a common place to find the versions sold in Korea, but you wait longer and returns are stricter.

YesStyle works out delivery as product availability plus the transit time of your shipping method, and shows the expected dispatch date in your order confirmation. Some beauty products can't ship to certain countries, so check the product page. Stylevana's U.S. page lists Standard delivery in 8 to 15 business days and Premium Express in 4 to 9, on top of processing time that depends on each item's stock status. It doesn't deliver to PO boxes, military addresses, parcel lockers or freight forwarders.

Amazon has many sellers, so the listing matters more than the store. Amazon's help pages explain how to tell who you're buying from: look at the 'Sold by' and 'Ships from' lines. 'Sold by Amazon' and 'Ships from Amazon' means Amazon sells and ships the item. A seller's name with 'Ships from Amazon' means a third-party seller sells it and Amazon fulfills the order.

For Korean skincare, the safest choice is a listing sold by Amazon or by the brand's own store. As of October 2026, the COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser and Oil-Free Lotion are sold by COSRX, SKIN1004's Centella Ampoule by SKIN1004 NA, and the Isntree sunscreen by ISNTREE Official. If something goes wrong with a third-party order, Amazon says you may be able to file a claim under its A-to-z Guarantee.

In the U.S., sunscreens are regulated as drugs, while other countries may regulate them as cosmetics, according to the FDA. So some brands sell a separate U.S. version with a different list of active ingredients, a different size or a different label. The FDA added bemotrizinol as a permitted sunscreen ingredient in June 2026, and says manufacturers decide when products with it reach shelves.

TOCOBO's Bio Watery sunscreen shows the difference. Olive Young US sells a 40 ml U.S. version whose active ingredients are avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate and octocrylene. YesStyle sells the 50 ml SPF 50+ PA++++ version, whose UV filters include ethylhexyl triazone and bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine. Both are the brand's products; they just aren't the same formula, so read the ingredient list on the product page before you buy.
